Second Day of Conclave

During the Second Day of the Conclave of the Anglocatholic Church an excellent lecture was given about Liturgy by The Reverend Canon David Smith. Then there was Consecration Mass where Fr. Paul Boardman Jr and Fr. Mathew Mount were consecrated bishops by Patriarch Dr. Heigo Ritsbek, assisted by Metropolitan Archbishop Glentis Samuel. And by the decree of the Patriarch Canon Smith was nominated as Titular Bishop of Antioch of Pisidia.

Conclave Began in America

On August 4, 2017 The Conclave of The Anglocatholic Church began in Seekonk, MA, USA. The Opening Mass was celebrated by Metropolitan Archbishop Glentis Samuel. At the Meeting of the Holy Synod the Canon Law was declared legal and many other issues were discussed.

On July 30, 2017 The Independent Catholic Gallican Church in France joined The Anglocatholic Church and now forms The Archdiocese of Mary Mediatrix of All Graces of The Anglocatholic Church (France). This Archdiocese will be led by His Eminence The Most Reverend Raphael Marie Villiere, Archbishop. Welcome! On Thursday, July 20, 2017, there was Ecumenical Synod in Caen, France with the participation of His Beatitude The MostReverend Dr. Heigo Ritsbek, MA, MDiv, DMIn, LittD, DD, Patriarch of The Anglocatholic Church with his wife Ülle. There were Byzantine Liturgy and Gallican Liturgy and Vespers, also presentations and discussions.

Fr Paul J. Boardman, Jr nominated a member of Holy Synod

By the decree of His Beatitude, The Most Reverend Dr. Heigo Ritsbek, MA, MDiv, DMin, LittD; DD, Patriarch of The Anglocatholic Church, Bishop Elect Fr Paul Jacob Boardman, Jr. has been named as a member of The Holy Synod of The Anglocatholic Church effective immediately, July 14, 2017. Currently the members of The Holy Synod are: Patriarch Dr. Heigo Ritsbek; Metropolitan Archbishop Glentis Samuel; Canon David Smith; Bishop Elect Paul Jacob Boardman, Jr.

Patriarch will participate at an Ecumenical Synod

Patriarch Heigo Ritsbek will participate with his wife on July 20, 20017 in Caen, France at an Ecumenical Synod organized by Bishop Dominique Hershko from Byzantine Church. Representatives from Gallican Church and other churches will be present too. In connection with the Synod Patriarch Heigo and his wife Ülle are guests of Bishop Hershko from July 15 – 22, 2017.

Canon Law Confirmed

By the decree of His Beatitude, The Most Reverend Dr. Heigo Ritsbek, MA, MDiv, DMin, LittD, DD, The Patriarch of The Anglocatholic Church, on June 28, 2017 it was confirmed that The Canon Law of The Anglocatholic Church will be legal and binding for the whole Anglocatholic Church from August 4, 2017. Also The Patriarch confirmed by his decree the Liturgy of the Consecration of Bishops of The Anglocatholic Church (effective immediately – June 28, 2017) and announced, that if the Diocesan Bishops or Metropolitan Archbishops or Archbishops decide so, they may choose an ancient rite for the liturgy under their jurisdiction. Also the Liturgy used by St Basil Cathedral in Toronto, Canada was encouraged to be used in The Anglocatholic Church by the Patriarch, if bishops decide so.
