CHRISTMAS MESSAGE FROM PRESIDING PATRIARCH 2019

Dear brothers in Christ, Members of the Holy Synod and members of your families :
Blessings to you all as we as a family celebrate the birth in time of the timeless Son of God whose coming among us in the substance of our flesh has transformed our lives through grace and through the power unleashed in his mighty resurrection from the bonds of death. As the author of the Wisdom of Solomon saw While gentle silence enveloped all things, and night in its swift course was now half gone, your all-powerful Word leaped from the heaven, from the royal throne, into the midst of a land that was doomed. Truly this great Light has shined upon us illuminating our darkness with his great light and investing us with the armour of that light that we may be children of God and fellow heirs with God’s only Son. Thus we rejoice greatly and seek to share that light with our fellow brothers and sisters. As we in heart and mind go to Bethlehem and come to kneel before the new born heavenly Child to offer Him our gifts, the gold, frankincense and myrrh of our lives, let us be transformed and born anew that we may minister before Him in this world with renewed zeal for the salvation of souls and the coming of the Father’s kingdom. Arise, shine for your light is come!

Verbum caro factum est et habitavit in nobis. Et vidimus gloriam ejus, gloriam quasi Unigeniti a Patre, plenum gratiae et veritas.

In fraternal love,    +++ David
