His Eminence, The Most Reverend Dr. David Smith, DD, Patriarch Coadjutor, sent a letter to the Patriarch, asking his release from certain offices in The Anglocatholic Church. The reasons for leaving these offices were very clear, and the Patriarch accepted this request.
So based on this request, on July 15, 2020, His Beatitude, The Most Reverend Dr. HEIGO RITSBEK, MA, MDiv, DMin, LittD, DD, Patriarch of The Anglocatholic Church gave the following decrees:
1) His Eminence, The Most Reverend Dr. David Smith, Patriarch Coadjutor of The Anglocatholic Church, shall be released immediately from the ministry tasks as The Patriarch Coadjutor and as Primate of All North America;
2) at the same time Metropolitan Archbishop Dr. David Smith, DD, remains as a Senior Advisor to the Patriarch, Rector of The Oratory of Saint Edward the Confessor, Metropolitan Archbishop of The Metropolitan Archdiocese of Saint Augustine of Canterbury, a Member of The Holy Synod of The Anglocatholic Church;
3) Metropolitan Archbishop Dr. David Smith, DD, added to these ministries above, is The Prefect of The Office of Liturgy under The General Office of Tallinn Patriarchate of The Anglocatholic Church;
4) His Beatitude, The Most Reverend Dr. HEIGO RITSBEK, MA, MDiv, DMin, LittD, DD, Patriarch of The Anglocatholic Church, elevated His Eminence, The Most Reverend Dr. Raphael Marie Villiere, Primate & Metropolitan Archbishop, to the ministry of The Patriarch Coadjutor of The Anglocatholic Church, and to the position of the Vice-President of The Holy Synod of The Anglocatholic Church, effective immediately, at the same time His Eminence Raphael Marie Villiere retains all his ministry offices in The Anglocatholic Church;
5) His Excellency, The Most Reverend Dr. Bishop Earl Lewis Frazier, Ordinary of The Diocese of Saint Giles the Hermit of The Anglocatholic Church, is elevated immediately to the position of a Metropolitan Archbishop of The Metropolitan Archdiocese of Saint Giles the Hermit (U.S.) and to the position of Primate of All North America of The Anglocatholic Church.
